4 years agoThe feelies are one of the most influential bands for alternative rock /shoe gaze genre . Their musical inspiration is primarily VU but one can hear the shades of the Kinks and The Byrds in their guitars. No Feelies means no REM/Sonic Youth/ Ye La Tango etc . Yet they remain obscure similar to Television ,an equally influential band of that era . Feelies music is hypnotic and mesmerising.Only life is a shining example of their music which has a life time of repeat value and there a few more phenomenal Feelies albums.
